Drinking and dogs are two very popular things. They can even go together like Canine to Five’s “Drinking With Dogs” events. A brewery in North Dakota is taking it one step further by featuring cans of their beer labeled with dogs up for adoption.

CNN reports that Fargo Brewing Company is teaming up with 4 Luv of Dog Rescue to highlight harder to place dogs that they’re calling “One-der” dogs.

“Our One-der dogs are dogs that will live their best life in a home by themselves and there’s no other pets,” 4 Luv of Dog Rescue volunteer Jerad Ryan tells KVRR. “So, they can be a little bit tougher to find homes for, foster homes, that type of thing.”

Ryan goes on to say that he works at Northern Plains Label who produce labels for breweries. From there he thought of the genius idea to place the dogs on beer cans. Luckily Fargo Brewing Company was on board and produced 40 cases of these special cans.

The six special dogs featured on the limited edition labels are Nyx, Bizzy, Jensen, Hobie, Moby and Virginia. Fargo Brewing hosted a special event on Monday celebrating the release of the “One-der” labels. Guests could buy a six-pack for a reasonable $9 and meet one of the dogs featured on the cans.

“This really has been great exposure for these harder to adopt dogs, and I would be surprised if this doesn’t lead to an adoption or two,” Ryan says.
