There are 1,086,408,406,510,684 reasons (rough estimate) why dogs are perfect. For women, letting your dog sleep on the bed means you have a better snoozle.

As Bustle shares, a study done by Canisius College reveals that women who slept next to a dog felt more rested than those who shared a bed with a cat or human. Researchers gathered data from 962 women living in the United States, with 55 percent of the study sharing their bed with at least one dog, 57 percent with another person and 31 percent with at least one cat.

The study concluded that dogs are less disruptive during the night compared to cats and obnoxious humans. Women who owned dogs also linked stronger feelings of comfort and security to their beautiful creatures.

Unfortunately for cats, the women in the study put them on the same level as humans when it comes to being disruptive in bed. Now one thing to note is that this wasn’t a controlled study. The participants reported their perceptions of their sleep quality at home to researchers. According to the report, “follow-up research is necessary to determine if pet owners’ perceptions of pets’ impacts on their sleep align with objective measures of sleep quality.”

Honestly the only conclusion that’s necessary is that dogs make EVERYTHING better.
