These kids went above and beyond to help MHS and all the animals in our care. We appreciate the support and thank these kids (and their great parents!) for their generosity!
Ms. Melanee’s Preschool Class
As part of our Youth Enrichment program, MHS visited Country Hills Montessori on Thursday, August 14. This group of preschoolers from Ms. Melanee’s class was super excited and engaged throughout our lesson on Responsible Pet Care. The kids loved sharing stories of their pets – whether they were real live pets or stuffed animals! The group made a donation to MHS of several bags of pet food and other needed wish list supplies. Thank you to Ms. Melanee and Camp Country Hills!
Kaley
Kaley and her family adopted a kitten from our Petco location in Sterling Heights. When Kaley celebrated her 10th birthday, instead of gifts she asked for donations for the animals. Kaley said “she wanted to donate because she felt bad for the animals and wanted to do something nice for them.” She already knows she wants to volunteer when she turns 14! Thank you Kaley and your wonderful family.
The Cody Kids
The Cody family came in to our Petco location in Sterling Heights and made a donation from the kids’ birthday money. Thanks for thinking of the animals!
Josh
Josh from Boy Scout troop 42 out of White Lake, dropped by our Rochester Hills Center for Animal Care today with 3 bags of towels, 1 bag of cat toys, 1 bag of paper products,1 bag of cleaning supplies, and 1 bag of newspaper. He also had a can drive and raised $200 for the Rochester Hills Mega March team!!! Thanks Josh!
Nicole
Nicole asked for donations for the animals instead of presents for her birthday. She collected toys, fleece blankets, food, newspaper and paper towels! Thanks Nicole!!
