Kitten season is here, and your help is needed now more than ever. Every year, Michigan Humane sees a big rise in the cat population during the spring and summertime, even amidst this global pandemic.

You can help the Michigan Humane Society by attending our Virtual Kitten Shower on Saturday, May 30 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Enjoy fun activities, view some of our adorable kittens on our live kitten cam, and learn how you helped us saved over 850 kitten lives in 2019! For the last hour of the event, join Michigan Humane veterinarian Dr. Clarissa Funke during a live virtual training session to learn more about our neonatal foster program and how you can help care for these vulnerable felines and save even more kittens in 2020.

Most of the kittens that are brought to Michigan Humane during this time are still too small to be put up for adoption. Fosters are a tremendous help in giving them some extra TLC and allowing for additional space in the shelters. All the necessary supplies to foster—like kitten formula and warming pads —are provided by Michigan Humane, all thanks to supporters like you. The fosters only need to supply the love!

Like any other baby shower, Michigan Humane has set up a kitten registry. Here you will find specific items to help our kittens in need. Each item will help not only our shelter staff but all of our generous foster families take care of these tiny kittens.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to support MHS – Please donate now.
