From Michigan Humane President & CEO Matt Pepper:

The safety of our staff, volunteers and supporters is of primary importance to us. As a response to the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we will be limiting all non-urgent functions at our facilities. We will be suspending pet adoption and surrender services indefinitely. Urgent animal surrenders will still be accepted.

Michigan Humane veterinary clinics will remain open, but we are encouraging our customers to postpone any non-urgent appointments for one month. We have now adopted a drive-thru model to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.

Please be assured that we will not, under any circumstance, leave an animal in harm’s way.

As we continue to support the needs of the animals in our communities and in our shelters, please continue to support us as we make our way through these challenging times.
