Original story below:

Michigan Humane is working hard during the COVID-19 crisis. Although we have had to adjust our day-to-day operations, we have continued to serve our community.

Michigan Humane Veterinary Services

Our Detroit, Westland and Rochester Hills veterinary clinics are open for urgent appointments with a drive-thru model. If our current clients have noticed pet skin issues, scratching/wounds, coughing and sneezing, then our new Veterinary Telemedicine may be a great fit. In addition to our new telemedicine service, we are now offering an online pharmacy to our current clients. This will allow people to order their pet’s prescriptions online and delivered straight to their front door. For more information about any of these services please call 866-MHUMANE or visit one of the websites below.

Michigan Humane Adoption Centers

To protect our staff and the people in our communities during the current COVID-19 pandemic, our adoption centers are closed to public indefinitely. In order to continue adoptions, we recently launched our new virtual adoption floor. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 11 a.m. and noon we will be hosting a Facebook Live to show all the animals that are available for adoption. People who are interested in adopting an animal can call 866-MHUMANE and they will be set up with a virtual meet and greet with the animal they wish to adopt. This new way of viewing and adopting our animals is just another way for our organization to continue our mission while protecting our staff and the people in our communities.

Michigan Humane is Still Here for You

Our teams continue to provide essential, life-saving services amid the COVID-19 crisis. From providing much needed resources at our Judith Caplan Phillips Pet Pantry to our Cruelty and Rescue teams answering calls to help sick and injured animals; we don’t stop. Thank you to our staff and the community for the continued support during this time.
