Joshua Radin is scheduled to have a busy fall. The singer-songwriter will release his latest studio album, entitled Here, Right Now, on October 4 and embark on a tour with The Weepies starting October 8. Radin is a huge dog lover and the title track from his upcoming record expresses the feelings of a rescue animal, which you can listen to below.

Howard Stern praised the song on his SiriusXM radio show yesterday. Proceeds from “Here, Right Now” will benefit New York’s North Shore Animal League, an animal welfare organization that Stern and his wife Beth graciously support. This isn’t the first time Joshua Radin and the Sterns have supported the same cause. The Ohio native performed at a benefit show for the couple last summer that also supported North Shore Animal League.

Animal Rescue is an important issue to my family and to me. My sister, who spends so much of her time at shelters and has rescued two amazing dogs (@honey_hounds), was the person in my life who inspired me to get involved. Then last summer Beth and Howard Stern asked me to play a benefit for the organization @animalleague and I felt like i could do more… Millions of wonderful people have saved these animals lives, and vice versa – here are a few of my favorite rescues and I want to see all of your beautiful faces. I will be selecting 3 pictures to be featured in a special video for “Here, Right Now”. To enter, just take a picture of you and your rescue pet (doesn’t have to be a dog) and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #hererightnow, then email us the picture at JRpackages@wilspro.com
