Local TV news broadcasts have looked dramatically different during the COVID-19 pandemic, with anchors broadcasting from home to limit the spread of the virus. An Indiana weatherman’s cat seized this moment to get some screen time with his dad.

Evansville NBC affiliate WFIE’s chief meteorologist Jeff Lyons does his weather reports from his house, green screen and all. That gave his cat Betty the perfect opportunity to make a cameo during one of Lyons’ newscast (h/t Nerdist).

Betty the Weather Cat now makes regular appearances during Lyons’ forecasts.

Hey Fox 2, Local 4 and WXYZ Channel 7. Are you seeing this?

Maybe bored sports announcer Andrew Cotter can commentate on Betty’s next newscast like he did with his dogs playing with their bone.
