If you like beer and dogs, then Coors Light has the perfect promotion for you. The beer company wants to give you $100 towards your adoption fee, but the offer is for a limited time only.

As CNN reports, Coors Light announced the promotion on Tuesday in hopes that people will give a dog a new home instead of going out during Valentine’s Day.

I don’t understand why they think people can’t do both, but at least they’re helping with pet adoptions. The promotion does align with Coors Light’s latest ad campaign about skipping cuffing season and instead just chilling with your dog. You can watch the spot below.

“With almost half of millennials planning to stay in on Valentine’s Day, we wanted to help empower people to savor the day with Coors Light and a dog by their side,” says Chelsea Parker, marketing manager at Molson Coors.

Of course there are eligibility requirements that need to be met, including:

  • Adopter must be of legal drinking age
  • Dog must be adopted between February 4-21, 2020
  • A photo of your adoption fee must be sent via text message to Coors Light
  • The first 1,000 eligible entrants will receive the $100 towards their adoption fee
  • See Coors Light’s official promo rules for complete details

So the next step for you? Visit the Michigan Humane Society’s Adopt a Pet page to see all of the dogs available to adopt.

This is just the latest example of a beer brand aligning itself with dogs. Late last year, Fargo Brewing Company in North Dakota released limited edition cans featuring pups available to adopt.
