Some of the adoptable pets at the MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care got into the Halloween spirit and wanted to dress up to show off for potential adopters!
When celebrating Halloween with your pets, make sure you keep safety in mind.
Some pets, like Molly, are more than happy to dress up…
And some, like Marcello, might get too excited or over-stimulated and think that the costume is a toy…
But if you remember to keep your pet’s comfort and safety in mind, many pets will tolerate being dressed up and they look adorable doing it!

Spirit, the kitten, is a very tolerant guy. He was purring the whole time that he was wearing his Buzz Lightyear costume!
All these pets are waiting for their new home at the Detroit Center for Animal Care.
Fostered Reuben through his eye removal surgery. What a truly wonderful little man. Never has a dog so intently, and with so much love stare at me. Loves nothing better than laying on the couch, belly to the heavens, sleeping next to his human. Playful and full of kisses. Loves other dogs of all sizes, and every human he has ever met.
If you know someone looking to add to their family, please share this little man – let’s get him into a wonderful forever home.
I’m a senior and I live in a senior community in Plymouth. We are allowed cats & dogs, but they have to be small. Weight under 15 pounds. What is Reuben’s weight? I have a small 1 bdrm ground level apt. So I need a small animal.
